I had Been waiting 37 Years to see one of my all time Favorite bands ,Electric light Orchestra and decided to fly to Chicago and check out the next to last show. Jeff Lynn is still rocking after all these years and i hope to catch them again soon.
I really had a great stay at the Park Hyatt and the Breakfast was by far the Best of The Best. Pancakes like GramMa made. Read Below.
Wow what a good morning it is. After waiting 30 plus years to see Jeff Lynn and ELO live , I can finally say Mission Accomplished.
First stop is the Nomi Kitchen restuarant who's Executive chef is Eric Danidot.
Very impressive view of the water tower with the lake in the back ground. I have ordered the Egg white Fritatta with Dungeness crab-green onion and broccoli and the Butter milk pancakes.
first thing I notice is the price for ala carte breakfast is reasonable for a 5 star hotel . since I have a 38 dollar credit by being a Explorist member at world if Hyatt this makes everything seem very well.
I have started with my favorite hot drink, chocolate . I believe this is powered chocolate so it is ok , but nothing like the real chocolate blocks or squares.
Beautiful presentation of the Frittata topped with 2 large cherry and tomato arugula.
accompanied by two pieces of toasted sour dough bread and apple preserve.
ooooohhhhhhh yes, I hit the jackpot with the Dungeness Crab frittata. the crab and eggs go so well together .
Best sour dough toast with butter and apple I have ever had. I will eat both pieces with the butter and peach apple spread and work out an extra 45 mins on the elliptical.
Service in the resturant is a good mix of personable and professional. Matthew is my server. Wow I cant get enough of this sour dough toast.
Pancakes nice and lite from first bite , almost as good as Grandmother Shavers, and that's hard to accomplish.
I have lathered this insanely good soft butter all over the pancakes that have the perfect steam heat all the way thru with this Sugarman Pure maple syrup.
you know a person knows how to make pancakes when the griddle is hot enough to sear the outside circle of the cakes golden brown and crispy and the inside soft fresh and fluffy.
I will make a trip to this Park Hyatt Chicago restaurant in the future just to have breakfast. I recommend anyone who can do the same, do so.
Make sure you stop and sell hello to Parker the Dog.
